Easter fun at dementia support groups

Regulars at Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s dementia support groups in Shrewsbury enjoyed a range of fun activities during Easter.

Trying on Easter bonnets and decorating eggs was the order of the day at groups in Copthorne and Monkmoor. ‘The members had great fun decorating the eggs and celebrating Easter,’ said Lisa Nutting, group organiser for the charity. ‘These themed days are always a delight, and you can see how much pleasure the members get from them.’

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin's dementia support groups support local people with dementia and memory difficulties, their families, carers and friends. Lisa added: ‘We provide emotional support and information in a safe and welcoming environment.’

‘You can expect a friendly welcome on arrival and an opportunity to get to know others and share experiences in a relaxed atmosphere. We offer you the chance to learn more about dementia and to ask questions, while we provide fun and interesting activities.’
