Welcome to our new home

Earlier this month Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin celebrated the official opening of our new offices in Bellstone, Shrewsbury.

The Mayor of Shrewsbury Elisabeth Roberts and the Deputy Lieutenant Claire Crackett joined us, cutting the ribbon and officially opening the doors to our new home.

Positioned next to the Market Hall, close to bus stops and disabled parking on the corner of Claremont Street and Bellstone, it is more accessible than Mardol Gardens. The office is a nice open space, with separate meeting rooms to allow us to talk confidentially to clients about their needs.

Heather Osborne, Chief Executive of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin, said: ‘After 22 years based in Mardol Gardens it was a big move but everyone pulled together and worked incredibly hard, without any major glitches.’

‘We hope that more people will see us here and call in for advice and support. If older people are worried about the cost of living crisis and paying fuel bills over the winter, please come and see us sooner rather than later.’
