In light of recent events, Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin took the sad decision today to postpone the British premiere of the film, All the Lonely People.
The premiere was due to take place at the Old Market Hall cinema in Shrewsbury on Sunday 18 September 2022.
All the Lonely People, an international documentary about the epidemic of loneliness, includes individuals and families from Shropshire that overcame loneliness with the help of innovations by local organisations.
Californian filmmakers Joseph Applebaum and Stu Maddux will now return in December for the rescheduled event, along with cast members, staff, volunteers and clients of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin and partner organisations that are providing resources to ease loneliness and social isolation in our area.
Joseph Applebaum, producer of the film and cofounder of The Clowder Group said: ‘We will be screening as the holidays approach, which can be a particularly isolating time for many of us. It can also be a time of reconnecting and we hope this event will help us reconnect more.’
Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and has contacted those invited to the event with the rescheduled date.
