Welcome Places
Welcome Places can be based in various venues including places of worship, community centres, schools, libraries and even hospitals. Most importantly, they are safe spaces that allow everyone to connect, belong and contribute.
In partnership with the Council’s South West Local Area Committee, Age UK Sheffield provides ongoing, on-the-ground, support to new and existing Welcome Place providers in South West Sheffield.
Exploring Welcome Places in South West Sheffield
On Wednesday 16th October 2024, South West Sheffield, 23 people gathered to explore the concept of Welcome Places and their role in fostering community connections. The event marked a significant first step in addressing key challenges and opportunities within these spaces, sparking valuable discussions and forging new connections.
