Staff and volunteers at the Salvation Army provide a valuable opportunity for those who would otherwise be spending Christmas Day alone to join them for Christmas lunch. Age Scotland Orkney support the promotion and organising of this annual event.

Where is the Christmas lunch held?
It is held at the Salvation Army hall on Junction Road, Kirkwall.

Who can attend?
Any single person or couple who would otherwise be spending Christmas Day alone can book a place.

How do I book a place?
You can book a place either by contacting Age Scotland Orkney on 01856 872 438 or by coming in to our office at 46 Victoria Street, Kirkwall, KW15 1DN. Alternatively, you can speak to staff at the Salvation Army and they can arrange a booking.

What does it cost?
There is no charge for attending the Christmas lunch.

Can I get transport?
Volunteers may be able to provide transport to and from the event if you are unable to make your own way. Please indicate that you require transport at the time of booking.
