Walk  & Talk Weekly Group Session

Meeting Point: Sandwell Aquatics Centre - B67 7EP

Our Walk and Talk Groups are short walks designed for people who wish to gain the benefits of regular exercise, whilst talking to like-minded people. Our advertised weekly "rain or shine" walks are free, friendly, and fun. Our weekly Thursday walk sets off at the same time (1:00pm) each week exploring the local area, and is timed to finsih around 2pm with the opportunity of refreshments and connections.

Whilst anyone can attend these walks are aimed towards older people aged 65 and up.

Come to our monthly library group to have a hot drink, chat and meet new people. Some weeks we have a group chat and others we have one off activities or informal guest speakers Everyone is welcome.

Held from 11:00am every 3rd Monday of the month; 17th Jun, 15th Jul, 19th Aug, 16th Sep, 21st Oct, 18th Nov, 16th Dec in 2024.

    Women First Walk & Talk - Brittania Park

    Would you like to exercise and meet new people?

    Why not come along to our women's only park walk and enjoy some fresh air and have a chat.

    Women First Walk & Talk

    Would you like to improve your wellbeing and meet new people?

    Why not come along to one of our free women's only park walks and enjoy some fresh air and have a chat.

    Walks last between 45 minutes to an hour and there are opportunities for refreshments afterwards (refreshment costs vary).

    Exercise and balance for health

    Tuesdays
    Brasshouse Community Centre, Brasshouse Lane, Smethwick B66 1BA

    Join our FREE 12 week exercise and balance class, every Tuesday (from 7th June) at Brasshouse community centre.

    Booking is essential.

    10:00am - 11:15am - Risk Assessments for new members (each one should take around 20-30 mins)
    11:30am - 12:30pm - Strength and Balance Exercise class
    12:30pm - 13:00pm - Tea/ Coffee and chat (if people wish to.)

The Stroke Community Wellbeing Project

Join this FREE 12 week program provides support for people in their stroke recovery within the local community.

The sessions will involve mix of seated exercise and social peer support (coffee and chat).

Booking is essential.

Power assisted exercise for older people

Unlike conventional exercise equipment, this electronic power system enables older adults to work passively or actively (and go at their own pace), with a focus on improving aerobic fitness, muscular strength, balance, flexibility and social wellbeing.
