Pension Credit - Winter Fuel Payment
If you've reached state pension age - this is currently 66 years old for both men and women. We urge you to apply for Pension Credit by 21st December. Doing so could help you access vital benefits including the Winter Fuel Payment.
In Salford, 3,700 people are eligible for Pension Credit and over £8.7 million is going unclaimed.

- British Sign Language (BSL) video relay service offers support for those who have a computer
- If someone can’t claim by phone or online, or they need extra support or confidential advice about pension aged benefits including Pension Credit, they should call the Welfare Rights Advice Line, which is available: Monday to Friday, 10am to 12noon on 0800 345 7375.
- Referrals to the Welfare Rights and Debt Advice Service can be made online.
