NHS Talking Therapies are helping people to fight the ‘Sunday scaries’ with their new autumn campaign.

Age UK Rotherham is working alongside RDaSH NHS Talking Therapies to share their message about the support they have on offer to residents of Rotherham.

You may be familiar with the term 'Sunday dread' which can commonly hit on a Sunday evening when we think about what the week will bring. You may feel uneasy, anxious or struggle to sleep. Although it’s natural to feel overwhelmed if we have a lot on our plate, sometimes that dreaded feeling starts to creep into the rest of the week and before you know it, it’s a daily occurrence.

RDaSH Talking Therapies have a team of qualified clinicians and in-house employment advisors to help you improve your mental health and support you with any work-related issues, whether that be finding work, returning to work or remaining in work.

They have a wide range of free treatments and support on offer, including 1-1 therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Counselling for Depression, Interpersonal Therapy, Eye-Movement Rapid Desensitisation (EMDR) and Couples Counselling. These are offer face-to-face, over the phone, via video and text messaging. They also offer a six week stress management course and one-off taster workshops on common difficulties like sleep, worry and menopause. These can be accessed from the comfort of your own home.

If you or anyone you know is looking for support with their mental health over the age of 18, RDaSH Talking Therapies can help. Residents can self-refer online at talkingtherapies.rdash.nhs.uk or call us on 03000 215 108.
