Age UK Rotherham is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara Dinsdale as new Chief Executive Officer of the charity from 13th February 2023.
Barbara brings an extensive charity sector knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by charities together with a solid understanding of national policy and issues affecting older people.
Barbara said, ‘Over the coming months, I’m really looking forward to learning more about Age UK Rotherham and getting out and about to meet some of the older people we support and the business partners who work with the charity.’
Barbara takes up the charity’s reins from retiring CEO Lesley Dabell, who has led Age UK Rotherham for the past 14 years.
Lesley said, ‘I’ve been pleased and proud to be Age UK Rotherham’s CEO and from day one have received fantastic support from the trustees, staff and volunteers. I’ve met many amazing older people over the years and will take with me some great memories.
I wish Barbara well and am confident she will be a great advocate for Rotherham's older people.’
With more than 20 years working in the voluntary and community sector Lesley will continue to champion the development and transformation of health services in her role as an Independent Non-Executive Member of the South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
