Closure of Age UK Rotherham Maltby High Street shop

Like many other businesses, Age UK Rotherham has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic over the last 18 months. Our offices, Furniture Warehouse and Maltby shop closed their doors in March 2020 and we moved to different ways of working so that we could continue to support older people in Rotherham during this difficult time.

Although the Furniture Warehouse in Rotherham has reopened, our Maltby shop will now be closed permanently.

We know this news is disappointing and hope you will understand that the difficult decision to close the Maltby shop was made after careful consideration and after taking into account the exceptional circumstances of the pandemic.  

We are grateful to everyone in the local community who has supported the shop and to the volunteers and staff who helped make it a friendly, welcoming place to visit. We’d also like to thank everyone who donated items, bagged a bargain, or two, or just dropped in to say hello.

We are sad to leave Maltby High Street and will miss the people and the community spirit that is so evident.

Our Furniture Warehouse in Rotherham is currently open each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and we would love for you to visit us there, if you can.
