Age UK Rotherham Update 26 March 2020 - Coronavirus (Covid-19)
Because of the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation our offices, Furniture Warehouse and Maltby shop are all closed for the time being.
We are currently working out how we co-ordinate our services to support our clients the best way we can whilst also keeping our staff and volunteers safe. This isn’t easy and we don't have all the answers yet but we’re working on it so please bear with us.
We have been busy behind the scenes making changes to the way we are working. This means that our staff are now working remotely, where this is possible. Unfortunately, it also means that we are currently unable to provide advice and information to older people in their own homes and that we have had to suspend our Social Centre activities.
We understand that people will be concerned about their older family members and neighbours and we are working with local partner organisations on ways we, and you, can support older people and their families in our community.
We’ll post updates on the Age UK Rotherham website and our Facebook and Twitter social media pages as the situation develops.
