Golf Day 2019

Age UK Rotherham Tee’s off for golf and raises funds for older people.

A great big thank you to everyone who entered and supported Age UK Rotherham’s recently held Charity Golf Day at Rotherham Golf Club.

We were delighted with the interest shown in this year’s annual event. The event proved popular, the course looked immaculate, and everyone enjoyed the glorious sunshine.

Together, with your help we raised around £4,300 to support of older people in Rotherham.

Thank you to everyone who entered teams. A big thank you to our Headline Sponsor MEARS and Tee-hole sponsors Enzygo, Mazars, ProActive, Tesco and Moorwood  Electrical who helped the day go with a real swing. 

A very big thank you the individuals and businesses who kindly donated prizes for the golf day raffle and auction.

Golfers enjoyed an afternoon of relaxing golf, a sponsored halfway hut served refreshments before the golfers returned to the clubhouse for a two course dinner and prize giving. .

After 18 holes, the first team prize went to Malden Roofing Contractors, The Swingers took second place, third prize was won by Network Blinds and fourth place went to Direct Solutions. A bottle of champagne fizz was awarded to Chad Gee for the day’s nearest the pin score. 

All proceeds raised on the day will help develop and shape our services for older people, and their carers in Rotherham.  

We would also like to say a huge thank you to volunteers, Rotherham Golf Club staff for their excellent service, professionalism and hospitality.
