About us
We're a local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.
Who we are
Age UK Rotherham is an independent local charity. We've been working in the local community to help older people for 30 years. We have around 35 dedicated staff and many volunteers helping us to deliver services and activities for older people in Rotherham.
Where you can find us
Our main office and Furniture Warehouse are situated on Eastwood Trading Estate, Fitzwilliam Road, Rotherham, S65 1SL.
How we are funded
We rely on your support to keep serving the community. We are supported by donations from the public, income from our retail outlets, and some charitable grants.
Let us know how we are doing
We always welcome feedback that helps us to give the best possible services and support to older people. Information about the ways you can tell us how we’re doing is on our Contact us page.
What we do
-
We give information and advice
Our trained advisors offer free information and advice to older people and their families. In 2020/21 our advisers helped local older people to claim around £2 Million in benefits that they were entitled to.
-
We offer home help
We offer home support services to help with shopping, cleaning, and other household tasks. We can also help to get you out and about or accompany you to appointments or providing companionship to help you do the things you like to do such as hobbies, crafts, reading or outings.
-
We sell furniture
We stock a large range of donated furniture and a selection of new decorative items at affordable prices. Pop in and see what we have to offer.
We also accept donations and are able to collect your unwanted items of furniture.
