MET Police Scam prevention Talk

John Murray is a volunteer for the Metropolitan Police who delivers scam talks.

In conjunction with the Metropolitan Police, we are arranging a presentation to help you with your knowledge of scams and to stay safe. This will cover all sorts of scams, not just internet based. This is a vital area as criminals are getting more sophisticated and it's essential you are aware of what is happening.

John will also be accompanied by a Police Ward Officer who will be able to cover local issues.

Lasting Power of Attorney Talk by Nigel George from Garner & Hancock Solicitors.

Food Labels Talk -Salt/Sugar/Fat

Pilates Classes

 

At Whitton Social Centre

Free

Try our free Pilates class on Tuesdays at the Whitton Social Centre, delivered in partnership with charity Active Women & Girls. Pilates is a gentle exercise leading to improved flexibility, increased muscle strength, relaxation of your shoulders, neck and upper back and reduced stress. This free class is for women over the age of 60 who are on a low income or who care for a family member or friend.

Introduction to video games and virtual sports

28th May, 2 to 4pm at Twickenham Wellbeing Centre

Free

We will have 8 slots of half an hour available between 2pm and 4pm, so please book your session in advance. If you are happy to play against others, we will pair you with someone, so there will also be an opportunity to meet new people.

New Strength Training Course

 

6-week course, starting 12 July at the ETNA Centre.

£30 for the course

Experienced personal trainer and coach Ash will lead you in a 6-week course using light weights to strengthen and tone your body. Exercising with weights makes our bones stronger and more dense, decreasing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures.

A 5-week course for people over the age of 50, using weights and exercise to strengthen and tone your body.
