My Health Matters

Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering is pleased to announce the award of My Health Matters contract by London Borough of Havering starting from 1st April 2021. The service has been established since 2014 and aims to improve the health awareness of local residents by recruiting and training Health Champion Volunteers to provide signposting to relevant resources as well as support residents to adopt healthier lifestyles. Health Champions receive the Royal Society for Public Health(RSPH) Level 2 Understanding Health Improvement accreditation and access to further health related training such as cancer awareness, mental health, smoking, etc.
The service works with Havering’s Voluntary Sector Organisations and other Council funded organisations to target residents who would benefit from the programme. We look forward to building on the success of the service and will be in touch shortly with further information.
