Donate
We rely on your support to help older people in Reading. There are many ways you can donate to us.
Ways to give
-
Donate online
Giving online is quick and easy. You can make a one-off donation or a regular monthly donation to support our work through our Just Giving page.
-
Donate by cheque
If you would like to write us a cheque, please make it payable to Age UK Reading (This is important as if you just put Age UK it goes to the National organisation instead of Reading) and pop it along to us in our offices at Thames House, 42 Portman Rd, Reading RG30 1EA.
Please note this is just a back office and we are not able to meet clients at this location.
-
Leave a gift in your Will
When the time is right, every gift in every Will, however large or small makes a difference. Help us to be here for future generations.
Many people leave 1% to charity and 99% to those closest to them. This helps Age UK Reading continue to help local people with key services.
-
Support our shops
Money raised from our shops supports our vital services in Reading via the national organisation, so why not bag a bargain or donate something you no longer need?
What your donation could do
-
Donating £5
could pay for a volunteer telephone befriender to come to our office and call a lonely older person. this might be the first conversation they have had this week.
-
Donating £10
could pay for our knowledgeable Information and Advice staff to help an older person access information or services that will improve their wellbeing.
-
Donating £20
could pay for several weekly trips for a befriender to visit a lonely older person in their home. This provides good company and kindness, but also links them to a wider support network.
-
Donating £35
could pay for us to support an older person through an ongoing problem. Maybe over several weeks offering adviocacy and support to get the help they need.
