Age UK Portsmouth are delighted to have received a grant to continue their Veterans Information Point service.
The grant of £48,210 is awarded as part of the RNRMC Through Life Pathway and aims to enable people to remain independent for as long as possible, combat debt, enable financial stability, and combat loneliness and social isolation.
Thanks to support from the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity and Greenwich Hospital, the Veterans Information Point will continue to offer free, independent and confidential information, advice and support to miliary veterans and active service men and women in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire.
Lianne Jones, Corporate Services Manager at Age UK Portsmouth said, “We’re thrilled to have been awarded this grant to continue offering our Veterans Information Point service for its sixth year.
"Hundreds of veterans have been supported since the project’s inception and, with thanks to RNRMC and Greenwich Hospital, we’ll be able to continue to make a positive difference to the wellbeing of veterans.”
