We can support you in maintaining health, mobility and independence. We have a variety of group exercise classes, both in-person and online, along with options to support you to be active at home.

Chair Based Exercise (for those who are more comfortable seated)

Chair based exercise can improve strength, flexibility, mobility, and coordination, for those who are more comfortable seated. Our classes are a great way to have fun and meet like-minded people, whilst building up strength and stamina to make every day tasks easier.

In Person Classes (£5 per session):

- Cumnor United Reformed Church. Mondays 9:45-10:45am and 11:15am-12:15pm.

- Henley YMCA Hall. Tuesdays at 11:15am-12:15pm.

- Kidlington Scouts Centre – Tuesdays 10:30-11:30am

- Wolvercote Young Peoples Club – Thursdays 10:30-11:30am

Mind and Body (a blend of Tai Chi and yoga poses, with Pilates breathing)

Mind and Body classes blend Tai Chi and yoga poses with Pilates breathing to create a sense of well-being and peace whilst exercising.

The exercises focus on gentle, flowing rhythmic movements, which are done seated whilst introducing slow, deep breathing techniques to help focus and concentration.

They are a great way to improve balance, flexibility and general mobility, as well as reducing stress levels. The focus on breathing can boost both physical and mental wellbeing.

Our Mind and Body classes are available online via Zoom on Tuesdays 11:30am-12:30pm.

Classes are £4 per session.

Our wider physical activity offer

We also offer a range of other exercise classes:

Strength and Balance (to maintain health, mobility and independence)

Big, Bold and Balance (for those living with Parkinson’s disease).

Stay Strong and Steady (a free introductory course, tailored for those at risk of falling, or who have had a fall)

Could you support us as a volunteer?

Volunteering at our physical activity classes would include supporting the exercise tutor to welcome and register participants, handling cases and helping create a friendly and sociable environment.
