The OLGBT Out & About Group is an informal social support group for older lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Oldham.

Listening to the needs of our OLGBT community here in Oldham is paramount and our safe and supportive group gets together regularly for meetings and social events; bringing people together for friendship and lots of laughter.

The group is professionally led by Age UK Oldham but with an emphasis on members supporting each other. The group also regularly arrange additional events which have included picnics, walks, meals out and visits to regional gay nights and events.

Age UK Oldham is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space that welcomes diversity and supports everyone. Older lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people want all of the same things in later life as heterosexual older people. This includes staying in their own homes for as long as possible and being treated with respect and dignity when they access health and care services.
