Many people in Norwich live alone or experience loneliness in their lives. No one should feel alone if they don’t want to. We offer Telephone and Active Befriending to encourage connection and combat social isolation which will involve being matched with one of our dedicated volunteers, based on similar interests, hobbies and location.
Telephone Befriending
Telephone Befriending involves regular phone calls with a volunteer and is primarily aimed to support clients who are isolated within their homes due to limited physical or mental health conditions.
Active Befriending
Active Befriending involves regular meetings within a public place such as a local café, attending one of our Clubs or a walk in the park to build confidence and connections within your local community.
At present, our Befriending Service is under full review as we hope to expand our service, to offer further holistic support. Therefore, we’re paused for any new referrals until further notice.
