Lunch Club Volunteer
Our Clubs and Trips are specifically aimed at those 50+ living throughout Norwich including Lunch Clubs, which offer an opportunity for clients to enjoy a hot meal, activities and form connections with other people in their local community to combat social isolation.
We are looking for volunteers to help us organise and run this monthly club. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working with people directly in the community, and for those who would like to help enhance the well-being of participants in a fun and supportive environment.
A Lunch Club volunteer will be asked to welcome clients, encourage participation during activities and engage in conversation with participants. A volunteer will support the running of the session alongside our Community Outreach Officer and may also be asked to offer refreshments to participants.
A genuine interest in supporting older people would also be helpful, as well as an ability to motivate and encourage people. Knowledge and experience gained through this opportunity may be transferable for those looking to develop a career in community support, coaching and care. Full training will be given.
All volunteer roles for Clubs and Trips are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
