Our Trustees play a role in championing our strategic vision and, along with the Chief Executive Officer, their role is to ensure the charity continues to evolve to support the changing needs of older people and their families, and to ready us for the forecasted growth of older people in the city and county.

As an independent charity, the Board is legally responsible for ensuring the charity operates within the Charity Commission rules and meets five times a year, including an annual strategy day. There are also many opportunities to represent the charity at events, galas and fundraisers and although the role of a trustee does not attract and financial remuneration, expenses for travel may be claimed.

We welcome expressions of interest from people with experience of digital marketing, IT, business development, health and care, fundraising and campaigns, governance, and finance. We are also keen to broaden the diversity of our Board and welcome applications from minority candidates.
