We work in partnership with a wide range of organisations to run age friendly social activities for any level of experience – so there’s something for everyone.

Physical Club Details 

Getting involved with physical activity is a great way to exercise the muscles as well as the mind. Join us at one of our classes to better your skills and health and make new friendships!

Dance to Health

Falls Prevention Specialist group. Simple but exciting dance steps to help improve your balance, flexibility and muscle strength. Have fun and a cuppa while at it too. 

Cost: £6 per session, sessions are booked 6 at a time

Walking Football

For all the football lovers who haven't played for a while. This is a chance to enjoy the beautiful game in a slower paced, friendly and fun atmosphere. Our team is open to all, including those who have never played football and those who are living with long term health conditions. Family members are also welcome to enjoy light refreshments.

Riverside Multi-Games

Who doesn’t like an opportunity to try different games? At Riverside we have gentle games sessions including table-tennis, boccia, kurling and indoor archery.

Kurling and boccia are also able to be played seated.These activities are always there so you can take your pick or give everything a go!

A 45-minute multi-level class which can cater for all abilities where exercises can be performed either seated, standing or a combination of both followed by 30 minutes of social time where refreshments will be provided.

Join us for a weekly exercise class which is designed to improve strength, mobility and balance. Sociable fitness class adaptable for all.

Walk, Talk and Tea

Join us at Norwich Cathedral where we will meet for a walk around the Norwich lanes, talk about anything and everythig and finish off with a cream tea at the Maids Head Hotel.

Spending time with friends in your local community is good for your mental health and our social groups can help you to learn new skills, reignite that passion for a lost hobby, and meet like minded people.

Coach and Horses Lunch Club

Lunch Club at the Phoenix Centre

Come along to the Phoenix Centre lunch club for an opportunity to socialise, have a hot lunch and receive some information & advice.

Our specialist will be available from 11am-2pm to help provide the support needed to overcome stress and worry.

Lunch is served from 12pm. You will also have the chance to join in with quizzes, games and occasionally bingo.

St Stephen's Church Cafe Group

Come along for a cup of tea or just a chat at St Stephen’s café.

Run by wonderful volunteers for anyone who would like to stop by and join. There is no need to book, just come along and meet our friendly group - bring a friend, relative or your befriendee

"Veteran's Recall" Military Reminiscence Group

At this Dementia Friendly group, we bring together retired military personnel to reminisce and share fantastic stories.

Serving military personnel aged 50+ are also welcome, as well as partners and other family members of those who were / are in the military.

We Love Nature

Join us at The Feed café in Waterloo Park for this 12 month project. The goal is to improve your connection to nature and attendance to the full 12 month project is recommended to get the best out of the sessions.

Intergenerational Music and Movement

Interact with younger folks by the power of music and movement! Friend In Deed, Age UK Norwich and Corton House Community Café have teamed up to offer a free session to music session with the goal of creating music!
