Former Chair of Trustees, Celia Cameron, CBE Passes Away

One of our former Trustees, Celia Cameron, has passed away following a recent illness. Our thoughts are with her husband Jock, daughter Emma, and family.
After a successful local political career, Celia joined Age UK Norwich in 2005 [Then Age Concern Norwich] and was appointed Chair in 2006, which she served until 2010. She remained on the Board, supporting various campaigns and services, particularly Befriending, loneliness and reaching residents often excluded from mainstream services. Celia stepped down as Trustee in May 2024, but remained connected to the charity as a Board Advisor until her death.
Celia’s dedication and contribution to Age UK Norwich over the last twenty-years has been immeasurable, along with many other local causes that benefited from her experience, and passion. She will be missed by us all at the charity.
