Closure of Age UK Suffolk

Published on 17 July 2020 01:48 PM

You may be aware from media reports that the Board of Age UK Suffolk have made the decision to close the charity due to financial difficulties caused by Covid19.  A very sad decision and no doubt distressing news for staff and volunteers and for older people in Suffolk.

All Age UKs are separate independent charities working in partnership to serve older people across the UK.  As you know, here in Norfolk, Age UK Norfolk and Age UK Norwich work together to provide much needed support to older people in the county.

We would like to reassure the people of Norfolk that Age UK Norfolk and Age UK Norwich are very much open for business, our services including Information and Advice and Befriending are fully up and running, as well as our online clubs and activities.

Any older people in Norwich in need of our services can contact our adviceline on 01603 496333 or enquiries@ageuknorwich.org.uk , Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.

Older people living in Norfolk can contact 0300 500 1217 or advice@ageuknorfolk.org.uk
