Age UK Norwich supporting Pride Weekend

On Saturday 29^th July, the team took part in supporting Norwich Pride outside of The Forum. Attendees included: Ellie, Rio, Stephen, Monique, Maria and volunteers including Mary and Rosamund. We offered information about our services, free face-painting and an opportunity to take part in a lucky dip. Within the first 3 hours, all of the items within the lucky dip had been taken! By the end of the day, we had engaged with around 250 people – plenty of people who were so glad to have stumbled across us that day. The day was filled with plenty of smiley faces and vibrant outfits! One for the books!

In addition, we were proud to sponsor the Norwich Pride Fun Run 2023. It was fantastic to see the community support for this newly-launched event by EPIC Norfolk, with around 180 people in attendance. The team enjoyed supporting volunteer roles, engaging with participants and sharing information about our services. All proceeds from the event will be donated towards Norwich Pride. As an inclusive Charity, we were thrilled to be a part of these fantastic events.
