Out and About – Community Trips

We were delighted to offer not just one, but two community trips this month, which were a great success!

Our first excursion was a day trip to Gorleston with clients from Cadge Road Community Centre. We all enjoyed a delicious meal at The Pier Hotel, who made us feel most welcome. We were kindly offered a meal choice, fish and chips or steak and ale pie. Followed by a nice cup of tea or coffee. It was lovely to see clients strolling along the promenade and treating themselves to an ice cream, a seaside classic! We would like to express sincere thanks to Hatch Brenner Solicitors for sponsoring the trip and to the wonderful team at The Pier Hotel for a very pleasant visit.

The following week, we teamed up with Konectbus to take 15 of our wonderful clients along the Norfolk Broads. This included a river trip on the Belle of The Broads, followed by a tasty lunch at The Kings Head.

One person said: “Thank you very much for organising a super trip today. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of all the team and look forward to further trips with Age UK Norwich.” It’s fantastic to collaborate and have so much support from corporate sponsors, thank you all.
