Increase in people seeking debt advice amid rising costs of living

Our CEO, Dan Skipper, was one of three local Chief Executive's to be featured in the EDP where they raised concerns about the cost-of-living crisis and how this is impacting local people, with concerns of growing demand during the winter months.
In the article Dan Skipper, urged people to research what support is available through local authorities - rather than suffering in silence.
He said: "We run the risk of a real false economy, where people who don't seek help will end up with severe mental health issues or getting physically ill for not eating properly or catching hyperthermia over the winter.
"These people will then end up in our health system, in ambulances and hospitals and care homes, which are already on their knees."
Dan was also a guest on the Chris Goreham Breakfast show, where he discussed this topic and more Click Here to listen on BBC Sounds.
As a charity we have seen an increase in calls and general enquiries regarding support during this cost of living crisis.
