Age Friendly Norwich Takes part in Labour Round Table
Recently, Age Friendly Norwich was invited to take part in the Later Life Provider Network round table event with Norwich MPs Alice Macdonald and Clive Lewis. Offering the opportunity to feedback on issues facing over 50's in the city, the event was a success, offering great opportunity for discussion and sharing of issues and ideas.
Attendance at Norfolk Care Association AGM
2024 saw the launch and inception of Age Friendly Norwich, with the team attending many events, meetings and key stakeholder discussions to help continue to shape Norwich into an Age Friendly City. This included attendance at the Norfolk Care Association AGM, where the team spoke to care workers, staff and employers about age friendly employer process, the 8 who domains and the importance of advocacy for over 50's.
It's official, Norwich is an Age Friendly City
In October, Norwich received confirmation of its status as an Age Friendly City. As part of this, we officially launched the project at Norwich City Hall, with a video on the project as well as announcing our State of Ageing in Norwich 2024 report.
