Whether you love to exercise, share knowledge or have a chat, we need your help!

We're on the serch for volunteers eager to enhance the lives of the over 50s in the South East of the county.  This is an exciting opportunity for volunteers to gain experience working within the community and build on their knowledge and expertise to make a difference.

We're recruiting for Community Ambassadors, Exercise Instructors and Befrienders and each role will be fully supported with a programme of training and shadowing.

Volunteer Community Ambassadors:

Do you have a deep understanding of the South East Northumberland area? We're looking for chatty and friendly people to take on the role of ambassadors. You will play an important role in promoting our services and connecting with local communities.

Volunteer Exercise Instructors:

We're searching for friendly and confident Volunteer Exercise Instructors to lead weekly exercise classes tailored to the needs of older adults. This role offers the opportunity to empower individuals to stay active and maintain their physical health in a supportive and encouraging environment.  Full training and shadowing will be provided, so don't be put off in you're not a qualified instructor!

Volunteer Befrienders:

The role of a Volunteer Befriender is to engage with local people within the community, providing time to chat and share a cuppa. If you like to spend time with people and offer a listening ear, get in touch.

This exciting new project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
