Age UK Northumberland are delighted to be taking part in the Veterans’ Places, Pathways and People North East Roadshow at Blyth Battery on Thursday, 27th October.
Charities and organisations from across the North East are coming together to put on this unique event for veterans and their families. The joint event aims to improve awareness of support in the region for the armed forces community, specifically around promoting their physical and mental wellbeing.
There will be a range of free activities taking place with exhibitors from across the region, including Newcastle Falcons, Newcastle Thunder, Durham Cricket, Age UK North Tyneside, Age UK Northumberland, Care After Combat, Fighting With Pride, Defence Medical Welfare Service, Sporting Force, Hull 4 Heroes and Military Veteran Football.
The event is for the entire ex-service community and their spouses, partners, family and carers. There will be activities on offer to suit everyone, including Boccia, rugby, football, cricket, and team building.
