Home Care Team gets GOOD CQC Rating

Age UK Northumberland Receives ‘Good’ rating for Home Care Services in Northumberland.

We’re pleased to announce that Age UK Northumberland has received a ‘Good’ overall rating and across all categories for Home Care services provided in Northumberland, after a recent inspection made by independent regulator of health and social care, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

CQC are responsible for inspecting and regulating all public and private health care organisations and their inspection focuses on five key indicators: safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and leadership.

This is a major milestone on our journey to excellence and clear recognition of the significant improvements delivered by our Registered Manager Carly Fortune, our excellent Case Management Team and our dedicated Carers.  As an organisation, we take great pride in ensuring that our customers receive a safe, caring, effective and respectful service and we are investing heavily in our teams to ensure that they are equipped with the training and expertise to deliver the full spectrum of domestic help, personal care and complex medical support.”

Age UK Northumberland is a local independent charity, working with the community to support older people, their families and carers. We provide services for older adults throughout Northumberland which include: information, advice, advocacy, personal care, exercise and falls prevention classes, befriending, lunch clubs and day centres.
