Role Overview:
As an Ambassador for Age UK North Tyneside, you will play a vital role in raising awareness about dementia, the challenges faced by those living with the condition, and the support available to them and their carers.
This voluntary role involves representing Age UK North Tyneside, engaging with individuals, groups, and businesses to promote our dementia services. You will help spread key messages, provide information on available support, and work to reduce stigma surrounding dementia, ensuring that more people access the help they need.
Key Responsibilities:
You will advocate for improved awareness and understanding of dementia. Your role will include signposting to relevant services and resources and supporting fundraising or awareness campaigns to enhance the reach of Age UK North Tyneside’s initiatives. By building relationships with community members, businesses, and stakeholders, you will contribute to fostering a more dementia- and age-friendly community, ensuring that those affected feel supported and informed about the help available.
