Did you know that you can get your prescriptions delivered?

During the coronavirus pandemic, people told HealthWatch North Tyneside  how helpful it would be to have clear information about how you can get a prescription delivered.

In response HealthWatch North Tyneside have produced a helpful guide with an overview of prescription delivery services and some Frequently Asked Questions that provide more information.

This guide details the services that local pharmacies provide – mainly these involve a driver picking up your prescription from a local pharmacy. In addition to these local services, there are several online pharmacies that will deliver your medication through the post.

You can also tell Healthwatch about your experiences of getting prescriptions, including ordering prescriptions from your GP and getting the medication you need from a pharmacy.  Tell Healthwatch what is working well for you and what could be better so they can help providers improve their services.

Please note that the NHS in North Tyneside does not fund pharmacies to provide delivery services, so some may charge.
