Walk in Water sessions

Age UK North Tyneside will be supporting the Walk in Water sessions at Hadrian Leisure Centre in Wallsend and The Lakeside Centre in Killingworth on the following dates:
Hadrian Leisure:
Tuesday 25th February 2020 12–12.30pm (Free session)
Tuesday 31st March 2020 12–12.30pm
Lakeside Centre:
Friday 28th February 2020 9-10am (Coincides with free swim for over 60s)
Friday 27th March 2020 9-10am (Coincides with free swim for over 60s)
We know that attending a new activity can be daunting, that’s why we would like to support people who have an interest in the Walk in Water sessions. The first step can be the hardest to make so why not all do it together!
We will meet 15 minutes before to introduce ourselves and go through orientation of the facilities (toilets, changing rooms, lockers etc.) The next step would be getting in the pool, which has accessible steps down.
All you will need is:
• 20p (non-refundable) for your locker
• Swimming costume, (you can wear a t-shirt or shorts over the top of this if you wish)
• Toiletries/towel for after your swim
People are also more than welcome to stay after and grab a tea/coffee and have a chat together!
