North Tyneside Libraries are open again

North Tyneside Libraries have re-opened some of their doors for select services.

Take a look at a selection of some of the fantastic things happening in libraries.

'Quick picks' service

• Browse library shelves for 20 minutes
• There will be hand sanitiser available at the door
• Masks are mandatory unless exempt
• A one-way system in place
• There's a maximum capacity so you may have a short wait

The service is at North Shields, Whitley Bay and White Swan Customer First Centre. The Oxford Centre, Longbenton and John Willie Sams Centre, Dudley. Unfortunately, due to building work, the service isn't available at Wallsend Customer First Centre at the moment.

Opening times are 10am–12pm and 1pm-4pm on weekdays, and 10am-1pm on Saturdays.

Order and collect service 

You can now Order and Collect books online or by phone

Make your selection here https://capitadiscovery.co.uk/northtyneside/ using your membership number and PIN.  Alternatively contact one of the 8 location, give some information about what you usually likes to read, and staff will select a bag of books for you.

Computer Access

Each of the participating libraries has limited computer access.

• Initially this is restricted to one session per day, up to a maximum of 45 minutes. 
• You must book by phone in advance. You will not be able to walk up
  and use a computer.
• The computers are only available during the reduced Library operating times
  You will need your library membership number and PIN to be able to use the computers.
• There will be no printing or photocopying available.
