Learn Indian dance with Sadlers Wells
Published on 27 April 2020 10:11 AM
This is a Sadler's Wells video on You Tube (aimed at older people) of (fairly gentle) exercises leading to some elementary Indian dancing. (Interesting to watch, even if you don't join in!)
Siva Patel will lead you through a 30 minute workshop looking at the Indian classical dance style of Bharatha Natyam. This workshop is aimed at people aged 60 plus, however anyone in your household can take part.
This workshop isn't live it's recorded and that means that you can stop and rewind and repeat anything you want or revisit it later on. It's also part of Sadler’s Wells’ ‘Take Part’ series for people to dance along to in their own homes. A new lesson is added avery Wednesday; so far you can also learn the art of Flamenco, Contemporary and Dance theatre dance styles; all suitable for older beginners.
