Donate through ebay

If you are an eBay seller, you can support us by donating between 10% and 100% of your profits. When listing your item, look out for the charity box just below where you set your price. Select Age NI and choose the percentage of your final selling price that you would like to donate.

Every time you list an item for Age NI, eBay will give you a fee credit on your basic insertion and final value fees equal to the percentage you donate. So if you donate 50% of your selling price to charity, eBay will waive 50% of your fees.

Other ways you can support us on eBay

  • Buy items auctioned by us - when you buy an item marked with the eBay for charity ribbon, some or all of what you pay will go to charity.
  • Add a small donation - when paying for an item through eBay checkout using Paypal - just tick the box if you'd like to donate.

Don't forget Gift Aid

Provided you are a UK tax payer, simply tick the Gift Aid box when you first list an item for charity.  Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, the charity will receive an extra 25p from the government.

eBay is a great opportunity to generate income for Age NI.  All funds raised will help us ensure that many vulnerable older people are kept warm, well and connected.

Donate by tax return

When you nominate Age NI to receive your tax refund, you can help us continue our vital work with vulnerable older people.

How it works

If you are completing a self assessment tax return, you can nominate a charity to receive any tax refund you are due.

The Government will treat this refund as a Gift Aid donation. This means that Age NI will get 25p more for every pound donated – at no extra cost to you.

For example:

if you are owed £10,
the taxman will add £2.50,
giving a total donation of £12.50.
Please note that this scheme is open to UK taxpayers only.

What you need to do

To ensure Age NI receives your tax refund, when you have completed your tax return you also need to complete Form SA100 - Giving your tax repayment to charity. Age NI then receives your donation directly into its bank account.
