It can be tough in later life if you are on your own. Sometimes family members move away, we lose contact with old friends, or a bereavement can leave us feeling lonely. If you would enjoy a regular chat and a catch up, our popular telephone Catch Up calls could help.

If you're feeling a bit lonely, or would just like a regular catch up, we can arrange for a volunteer to phone you on a regular basis.

Other ideas if you're feeling a bit lonely

If you've been feeling isolated, then here are some things you could try.
Contact us about our lunch clubs, days out and activities. We have transport services too.
If you like classes and learning new things, contact Settle's University of the Third Age, which has classes for older people.
If you're able to, why not try volunteering? You'll meet new people and learn new things.
