Donations and Legacies Coordinator
Location: The William and Patricia Venton Centre, York Road, Northampton, NN1 5QJ
Rate of pay: £10,857 per annum (£26,782 full time equivalent)
Hours of work: 15 hours per week
About the role
You will be responsible for developing and increasing income from new and existing donors through regular and one-off giving, and legacy promotion. The role will encompass donor development, supporter acquisition and retention through research and relationship building. This will be combined with a target driven approach with an empathetic manner.
You will seek out new relationships to encourage increased donations and the potential for legacy giving. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and success of our fundraising strategy. By organising legacy events, hosting seminars and gatherings you will encourage engagement through face-to-face and online approaches.
About you
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in the work of the charity and the important impact it has on the community. You will need to be a self-motivated, proactive individual with excellent communications skills and attention to detail. You will be passionate about increasing donations to Age UK Northamptonshire with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring our supporters are aware of legacy giving and the impact it has on our work.
Ideally you will have some fundraising experience, but we welcome applicants with transferable skills, perhaps from a customer service, sales or a marketing background.
