Generous gifts at Christmas

Published on 05 December 2024 12:00 PM

Thank you Northampton Lions Club.

Thank you to everyone for your kindness

A huge thank you to residents of Northampton for supporting the Northampton Lions Club's annual Can Collection at the end of November.  On Sunday 1st December your generous gifts of groceries and festive treats were packed into 105 bags at our day centre in Northampton by kind volunteers.  All the bags will be distributed to local older people to brighten their Christmas and let them know they are valued by their community.

Thank you Dunelm Wellingborough's generous customers.

We are thrilled to be one of seven local charities supported by the Dunelm store in Wellingborough as part of their Delivering Joy project this year.  Customers were able to take a gift tag from the Christmas tree in the store, provide a present for the person named and return it to the store for us to collect.  Thanks to this fantastic partnership between the national charity Age UK and Dunelm, and to Wellingborough Store Manager Donna Moore and her team, 37 older people in Northamptonshire will receive an unexpected Christmas gift this year.

Thank you Harwood Estate Agents in Wellingborough.

A big thank you to Harwood Estate Agents Wellingborough who spent over £600 to create 60 wonderful gift bags for clients of Age UK Northamptonshire. They choose a different charity every year and, because of the winter fuel payment cuts, they wanted to make a difference to older people in the county.

Please get in touch if you would like to spread a little Christmas Joy in Northamptonshire.
