Dementia Day in Corby

Local organisations and businesses came together to raise awareness of dementia

Age UK Northamptonshire was proud to support Dementia Day at Corby Cube on Wednesday 9th November.  The event was organised by Isobel Mann of Bray & Bray Solicitors to bring together local organisations who provide support to people with dementia.  It was an opportunitiy for everyone, families and carers included, to find out more about dementia and to speak to representatives from the many charities and local businesses who can help.

The event was attended by Petrina Wright from our Age Well team [pictured second from left], Vicky Davies of Dementia UK, organiser Isobel and Bekki Hart from North Northamptonshire Council.  Other organisations included Northamptonshire Carers, The Autumn Centre, Home Instead, Ironstone Wellbeing Centre, Telford Mann Pensions & Investments, Dementia UK, Priors Hall Care Home, Northamptonshire Police Fraud Crime Team, Serve and Care Advice Centre.
