We continue to support the Covid vaccination programme
Here's our Volunteer Co-ordinator Alicia Cubitt with a little award inscribed: "Thank you for your contribution to achieving 100,000 covid vaccinations at the Royal Pavilion 2021."
We are proud that our volunteers are playing a small role in enabling the NHS team at the Northamptonshire Vaccination Centre at Moulton Park in Northampton to reach the impressive milestone of vaccinating over 100,000 people. Every other week our volunteers are providing support as Patient and Carer Liaison, helping to keep the queues moving efficiently and carrying out practical tasks that help make the experience of attending the vaccination centre as stress free as possible.
We are working alongside the dedicated medical staff and volunteers from other charities and voluntary organisations who have made the covid vaccination programme such a magnificent success. We welcome people to the centre, wipe down chairs and provide practical and emotional support where it is needed, seven days a week, 10am to 3pm.
Alicia who has been co-ordinating our volunteers at the centre says "I want to thank you all for your hard work and support. You have been an important part of the NHS’s success in vaccinating over 100,000 people in Northampton. They are really pleased with the support that you all offer and the impact you have had on the patients and would like us to continue volunteering whilst the Covid-19 vaccine programme is active.”
We look forward to continuing to support the NHS at The Royal Pavilion for as long as we are needed. If you would like to get involved, perhaps you could spare five hours every fortnight, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
