Expert Panels

Background
Our Halton Expert Panel has been running since 2018 and there are currently around 12 active voluntary members. The purpose of the panel is to ensure the views of people aged 50+ are used to design services and influence relevant issues, to influence decision makers both locally and wider. We organise various engagement activities with our panel throughout the year including: three consultation sessions per year, age friendly Liverpool City Region level consultations as well as individual and group engagaments when the need arises with service development needs.
Who make up the panel?
Our expert panel is made up of people who work in, or have previously worked in industries that influence our community. Throughout their careers they have gained valuable experience and knowledge of how our community is served. The panel is open to people in Halton who are aged 50+ from any background, such as a professional, a carer or someone who simply wants to be involved. The group is friendly, informal and we aim to be flexiable in terms of how much time members can commit. Being a member of the panel can be a great way of making new friends and to feel a sense of purpose through contributing to something worthwhile.
What areas do they cover?
We currently have one established expert panel in Halton and are working to establish one for St Helens.
Can I take part?
