How would you describe yourself?

"I like to get out and about, I'm pretty active and outgoing"

What is it you do as a volunteer?

"I sometimes help out at the Upton Men's Group. My role is quite flexible, so I just help out when I can"

What made you want to volunteer?

"I retired from work and then lost my wife. So I thought, I've got two options - I can sit in the house and mope or I can go out and do something"

How did you get into it?

"I Googled what groups were in Widnes and went along to the Men's Group in Upton and then decided I wanted to be a volunteer"

How long have you been volunteering with Age UK Mid Mersey?

"Since February 2022"

Why did you choose Age UK Mid Mersey over other charities?

"I enjoy the flexibility and like being able to help others out"
