Age UK Mid Mersey to host Tea With MP Event

Age UK Mid Mersey is pleased to announce an upcoming event titled "Tea with Your MP," aimed at fostering open dialogue between local residents and their Members of Parliament. This gathering offers constituents a unique opportunity to engage directly with their MPs, discuss pressing issues, and strengthen community ties over a cup of tea and a biscuit (or two!).

Event Highlights:

• Meet Your MPs: Marie Rimmer, MP for St Helens South and Whiston, and David Baines, MP for St Helens North, will be present to hear your concerns and discuss matters affecting the community.

• Open Discussions: Attendees are encouraged to voice their opinions, ask questions, and share ideas in an informal and welcoming setting.

• Community Connection: This event provides a platform to connect with neighbours, local leaders, and organisations dedicated to enhancing the well-being of St Helens residents.

Marie Rimmer has been serving as the Labour MP for St Helens South and Whiston since 2015, actively participating in various community initiatives and parliamentary committees. David Baines, elected as the Labour MP for St Helens North in July 2024, has a background in local governance and community advocacy.

This event is organised to promote transparency, encourage the participation of local residents 50 plus, and strengthen the relationship between elected officials and their constituents. Our clients and volunteers are welcome to attend and contribute to the conversation.
