Age UK Mid Mersey Welcomes Nick Farmer as New Chairperson

Age UK Mid Mersey is thrilled to announce the appointment of Nick Farmer as the organisation’s new Chairperson.
Nick Farmer is currently the COO of Making Space - a national charity & leading provider of adult health and social care services. In addition to boasting over 30 years of exemplary leadership at CEO, Managing Director, and NED levels within the health and social care industry, he also has an extensive educational background and is a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
He is passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable people and providing high quality services, and brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the health and social care sector with experience extending across various domains, including care homes for older people, mental health, learning disabilities, and primary care.
In his new role as Chairperson of Age UK Mid Mersey, Nick will undoubtedly provide strategic guidance, inspire innovation, and champion the organisation’s mission to support and empower older people across the region.
Speaking on his appointment, Nick expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am delighted to join the Board of Trustees of Age UK Mid Mersey at this time in the organisations continued growth and transformation, and I look forward to working with the team as part of this ongoing development.”
As Age UK Mid Mersey bids a heartfelt farewell to previous Chairperson Pete Stubbs who has been with the organisation as a trustee since August 2017 before becoming Chairperson in March 2020, the entire team welcomes Nick Farmer's appointment and eagerly anticipates the positive impact his invaluable expertise will bring to the organisation and the community it serves in its next phase of growth and development.
