Investec Visit Age UK Merton for a special Valentine's themed afternoon

Age UK Merton welcomed the team from Investec, who transformed the centre into a Valentine's paradise for an afternoon of 'The Love of Painting'.

The team from Investec gallantly gave up one of their working days to volunteer for us. For the entire afternoon, the centre was transformed through the amazing work done by the events planning team. Heart shaped balloons, pink and red streamers, bright lights lights, heart embossed table cloths, and fancy dress helped turn the Age UK Merton centre into a love-filled place of creativity and passion. 

Clients were treated to a Valentine's paradise which got them to try their creative skills by painting pottery and feeling the love around the centre. Throughout the afternoon, they got the chance to paint their own flower pot with pangs of Valentine's passion, gracefully washed down with copious amounts of tea and biscuits...oh, did we also mention that they were given cream teas at half time?

There were a few staff members popping their heads out of offices when they saw the amount of food on display - I wonder why...

To round the day off in style, the Investec group gave each client a wonderful goody bag with lots of exciting things (not to mention the leftover food).

What a fantastic afternoon! We cannot wait to welcome the Investec team to the Age UK Merton Centre once again
