Heidi Shrimpton

Heidi is an experienced charity leader, currently as Director of a homelessness charity and previously as Director of a charity teaching English to adults in Merton.  Her career also includes leadership roles in fundraising and communications.

As a long-term resident of Merton, Heidi has been inspired by remarkable, older individuals and groups through her work. Among these are a Merton-based singing group that performs in care homes and Ukrainians aged 70+ learning English for the first time – both winning well deserved awards.

A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Heidi pursued an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management later in life, balancing her studies with full-time work.
