We are excited to announce the opening of our new workshop in Didsbury. The workshop is on Ward Street, right in the heart of Didsbury Village. It will be a multi-purpose hub where we will run our upcycling project. People can also drop donations of furniture and clothes here and we also plan to run a series of workshops and community groups.

The creativity and skills of our upcycling team will transform second-hand furniture and clothes into unique, stylish pieces that are both environmentally friendly and budget-friendly. Each piece is carefully selected, refurbished and given a fresh new look before being put on display in our shop. You will find pieces that fits your individual style and home decor, while also supporting a great cause. The upcycled items will be sold through our Didsbury shop on 680 Wilmslow Road.

The upcycling project is part of our commitment to becoming more sustainable, reducing waste and giving customers an opportunity to buy good items at a lower price amidst the cost of living crisis.

Located just off Wilmslow road, and around the corner from our shop, the workshop will also serve as a hub for the community. We are planning to run community groups from the premises, providing a space for socialising, learning, and sharing skills. As always, the groups will be person-centred and lead in partnership with our service users.

The workshop will also offer volunteer opportunities for those looking to get involved and give back to the community. Volunteers can help with upcycling projects, assist with the community groups, or lend a hand with donations and sales. By volunteering at the workshop, individuals can make a positive impact in their community and support older people in Manchester

The workshop will also serve as a drop-off point for donations. People in the area can easily donate unwanted furniture, clothes, and other items to the workshop, where they will be sold to support our services for older people in the area and in the wider borough of Manchester.

Overall, we hope that the new premises will be a vibrant and bustling hub for the community and for the wider Manchester area. The community aspect is important in this and a great opportunity for different people to mix and collaborate.

From upcycling furniture and clothes to running community groups and hosting events, the workshop offers a range of opportunities for people to get involved and connect with others.

Whether you're looking to donate items, shop for upcycled treasures, make new friends while upcycling, the workshop has something for everyone. We are thrilled to be expanding our outreach in Didsbury and look forward to welcoming the community to their new workshop.

The workshop is located at:
